- 1 sheet Jus-Rol™ Filo Pastry, thawed
- 1 Leek, washed and well trimmed
- Olive oil for drizzling
- 5 Slices Parma ham, each cut into three
- Melted butter for brushing
- Sesame seeds
Leek and Parma Ham Cigars
Recipe for 16 Cigars
Preheat oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 5
Cut leek into four lengthways, and then cut each quarter into four. Lay on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil and bake for 8-10 minutes until just lightly cooked. Allow to cool.
Fold pastry sheet into three across the width to give three long strips. Cut each into five squares.
Wrap a piece of ham around each leek length. Brushing each pastry square lightly with butter, place the wrapped leek diagonally across one square and roll up. Brush again and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Repeat with all the remaining ingredients and bake for 8-10 minutes. Serve warm.
